JWT Colombia Named Digital Agency of the Year at the IAB Awards
Last week, JWT Colombia was named the Digital Agency of the Year at the IAB Mixx Awards, a celebration of the year’s best interactive marketing. The Digital Agency of the Year recognition was awarded for the team’s effort to digitize and consolidate its offering of integrated communication services.
Three years ago, JWT Colombia kicked off a digital transformation that began with a concerted effort to attract talent that came with digital experience and the ability to design strategies that could help the company thrive in today’s digital landscape. With a unique pool of digital experts on board, JWT Colombia then made the decision to offer 100% digital solutions to their clients.
Early this year, digital content company Mutato and Blinks, a digital performance and media agency, joined the JWT network in Colombia. Since partnering with these digital-focused companies, JWT Colombia has landed two new biz wins, one for cheese manufacturing company, El Grupo Gloria and lottery company La Loteria Coyaca, providing both brands with additional digital communications and strategy.
In addition to the coveted Digital Agency of the Year recognition, JWT Colombia received a Silver medal in the Search category for “#BuscaMejor,” a web-based campaign that utilized social networks to help Claro, the leading telecommunications brand in Colombia, reach a younger target market.
They also received a Gold medal in the Social Responsibility category for “The Last Mask,” a Cannes Lions winner that aimed to tackle the country’s high incidence of acid attacks against women. It became one of the biggest PR movements in the country.
