Challenge: In Asia, parents believe that learning is best done in a classroom. Friso believes that learning is best done when it is experienced in a real situation and it can be a child’s best teacher.

Insight: A mother often wants her child to excel in life and one of the ways she believes will lead to success is getting good grades (a sign of learning and being smart).

Idea: When your child learns through experience, they truly learn.

Results: J. Walter Thompson Singapore developed a film that is used across the region (including Mexico), and that shows that this belief of “When you learn through experiences, you really learn” cuts across the different cultures. The campaign helped increase brand awareness in Indonesia and the campaign helped Friso gain number one position in Hong Kong.
