Best-in-class Digital Marketing agency to join JWT Network
LONDON, 09 July 2012 – JWT Chief Executive Officer of Europe Toby Hoare announced today that JWT has acquired Activeark, one of Finland’s most prominent digital marketing agencies. This is one of the most significant European acquisitions for JWT in recent history and will create a new brand for clients seeking an exciting proposition for their communication. Activeark is the largest digital agency in Finland and was selected as the agency of the year in 2012.
Founded in 2003 in Helsinki, Finland, Activeark is an international agency focused on creating remarkable user experiences. It has offices in Helsinki, London and Mumbai and works with a range of clients including Hartwall, Nokia and Marimekko.
Markus Hakala, CEO at Activeark, becomes CEO of Activeark JWT Oy. Jean Gallen, Managing Director of JWT Helsinki will be Chairman of the Board and will operatively be in charge of client service. The founder of Activeark, Robin Bade, will focus on the development and overall quality of the service offering. All current owners of Activeark will continue in their operational positions. The Activeark operations in the UK and India will also assume the new name.
