JWT Cairo Named Agency of the Year
Campaign Middle East’s 2015 Annual list of results across the MENA region is out, and J. Walter Thompson has scored a hefty series of notable entries including the highly coveted Advertising Agency of the year accolade which went to JWT Cairo.
In summing up the win, Campaign’s editorial team wrote “Whichever way you look at it, 2015 was a standout year for J. Walter Thompson Cairo with the team’s output overturning perceived limitations in the marketplace and proving that innovation pays. Standout work, innovation, a titanium at Cannes and a string of new business wins ensured that J. Walter Thompson Cairo stood out from the crowd in 2015.”
To top it off in only a week, Campaign recognized the news as the #3 most read article of the year on their website. JWT Cairo also scored the #5 position in that same Top 10 List with the news about their Egypt Air account win.
A year of amazing firsts saw the agency named first runner up in Advertising Network of the Year. “Cairo scored a first ever for Egypt with a Titanium Lion* at Cannes; Riyadh landed the first ever grand prix for Saudi Arabia at the Dubai Lynx; Amman scored Jordan’s first ever Lynx gold for its retro execution of the Toyota Corolla; and the Cairo office led the Egypt Economic Development Conference, a first-of-its-kind land- mark event for Egypt.”
Coming in at #1 on the list of the Top 10 Prints, Posters and Outdoor campaigns was JWT Amman’s nostalgic print ad “Corolla 1966“. JWT Dubai hit the #8 position, for the DeLonghi “Tomato” print ad.
JWTCairo landed the #5 spot on the top 10 MENA pitches in 2015 for winning the multi-agency pitch for Egyptian Tourist Authority’s global account.
