Cannes 2017 Winners: Direct, Cyber, Mobile, Creative Data, and Innovation

After tonight’s ceremony, which recognized work across the Direct, Creative Data, Innovation, Cyber and Mobile categories, we have added twelve medals and eight shortlist to our Cannes 2017 awards tally.

Two of our largest social justice campaigns – JWT Amsterdam’s “School for Justice” and JWT New York’s “Unsafety Check" – each earned a Gold in Direct and Cyber respectively.

“Unsafety Check” earned another three Silver Lions in Cyber across the Social Purpose, Native Advertising and Innovative Use of Social or Community subcategories.

JWT Paris helped round out our Silver and Cyber wins with two Silver Lions in Cyber for “The Right Search,” a “fake news” antidote.

“Unsafety Check” continued to boost its award tallies with three more Lions: a Bronze Lion in Direct and two others in Mobile.


JWT Brazil, “Anonymous Friend,” a Facebook chat bot designed to help people battling alcoholism, also landed a Bronze in Direct.
