Five little storytellers were given the perfect opportunity to showcase their talent, via The Smartphone Network.

Paanch Nanhi Kalmein – An initiative by Airtel to give five economically disadvantaged kids the grandest of stages at the world’s largest free literature festival –The Jaipur Lit Fest.
“Kids are full of stories. But they never find a big enough audience. More so, because in our country, the number of kids who drop out of secondary school is as high as 50%. As a result their potential remains untapped and they never grow up to be storytellers.
The bestselling author of the Shiva trilogy - Amish Tripathi collaborated with the five kids, over a video call to write a fantasy story. The first chapter was written by Amish and then continued by the kids, one by one.
The story came alive at the Jaipur Lit Fest via 3D holographic teleportation over Airtel 4G. The kids were beamed from their locations and narrated their respective parts, enthralling the live audience present.
As a result the story has been converted into an illustrated book – UDAAN and printed for distribution.
The journey of the five kids is itself reaching a wider audience via a video being shared on social media documenting the unique initiative.
