The Invisible Police El Hatillo district
El Hatillo is a small but important district of Caracas, the most dangerous city in the world. Its police force is in precarious situations, it should have 400 men on the streets and it has only 157. In the middle of such a large crisis, an invisible solution comes to spark a national debate about law enforcement resources.
A broken police car was restored and placed on the most dangerous zones of El Hatillo District. No cops were inside the car, only surveillance cameras all over the place. How would the people react? Would only a police car with the lights on make any difference? It would. People walked the streets of one of the most dangerous city of the world with no fear, proving the importance of police presence. The video of the experiment was uploaded to Facebook and YouTube weeks after.
