Vatche Keverian, a 20-year veteran of J. Walter Thompson, joined the company to head Unilever in Dubai. He set up the agency's first Regional Business Unit in the Gulf and expanded its operation to all MENA markets.He developed regional integrated communications for brands like Lipton, the most popular cup of tea, and LUX, the favorite soap of the Arab World, helping them earn Power Brand status within Unilever MENA.In 1997, Vatche took the helm of J. Walter Thompson Dubai, leading its growth into the largest office in MENA and regional hub for clients like HSBC, Kraft, Nestlé and Nokia. In 2003, he was promoted to CEO Gulf, launching J. Walter Thompson Bahrain. Recently, he has been instrumental in establishing the newest teams in Qatar and Iraq. In 2011, he was appointed Chief Client Officer, MENA and was promoted to CEO in 2012. Under his tenure, J. Walter Thompson Dubai won Agency of the Year in 2008 at Dubai Lynx, Agency of the Year in 2009 at MENA Cristal and was noted as the most awarded agency in MENA in 2010 by Communicate magazine.
