J. Walter Thompson INSIDE Los Angeles is seeking a Media Planner to join our Account Management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine media strategy to meet stated business goals
  • Optimize existing forecasting methodologies to enhance performance results
  • Perform and oversee media planning and budgeting responsibilities
  • Create monthly budget summary updates
  • Create research analysis
  • Construct, develop and present competitive analysis
  • Build, populate and deliver marketing calendars on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile any discrepancies
  • Manage and communicate effectively with agency partners and internal team
  • Manage direction of planning activities for accounts
  • Effective development and management of client budgets
  • Write proposals and client correspondence, including status and progress reports
  • Solid understanding of “big picture” client objectives and program

 Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful plans 
  • Strong client relations - having the ability to understand and assess a client’s business needs, and meet those needs
  • Proven project management skills
  • Developing and managing budgets and overseeing timelines
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and experience, providing sound counsel and recommendations
  • Analytically savvy with strong quantitative skills
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Three+ years of work experience in advertising with former recruitment, employer branding/internal communications experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
