J. Walter Thompson is actively seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Agency Resource Director. As a liaison between the Creative, Account Management and Production departments, this role ensures the creative process runs effectively and efficiently on all projects.

This role supervises the Creative Coordinator.

This position is based in our Toronto office.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the account teams, you confirm clarity and scope of every project and assign creative resources accordingly. You act as the liaison between the Account Management and Creative departments throughout the process and proactively consult with the account team if a project deviates from the approved schedule.

You participate in forecasting meetings of planned projects and are continuously knowledgeable of the overall workload within the creative department. You engage the ECD’s when freelance assistance is required and work closely with the HR team to facilitate freelance engagement and help to on-board new hires. You provide administrative support to the Creative department and as needed, assist the creative teams to prioritize their workloads.

Working closely with the leads of the production departments, you are aware of the status of work and resource assignments in their departments. At the appropriate stage in the process, you reach out to engage according to the projects’ requirements and touch base regularly to ensure projects are moving according to the approved plan.

Qualifications and Key Attributes

  • Previous experience in a similar role required.
  • Experience working in a high-volume advertising agency preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter who can anticipate needs and prepare accordingly.
  • An energetic, flexible and reliable team player.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
