J. Walter Thompson Atlanta is seeking an Account Director.

Responsibilities:

• Sets and implements long- and short-term objectives and strategies for the

business

• Plays a key role in generating actionable insights, communication ideas, and

business-building ideas

• Identifies, expands and sells 'big ideas' internally and to the client

• Drives and activates integrates thinking and communication solutions across the

Agency team

• Evaluates and effectively positions creative efforts based on ability to achieve

business and communication objectives

• Can build a case of the business contribution the creative idea will have

• Creates a positive, collaborative, protective environment that ensures everyone

on the team is well-equipped and motivated to create great work

• Sets the rights kinds of conditions for the client to buy better work, before, during

and after the presentations

• Demonstrates sound knowledge of off-line and on-line communications and the

changing media landscape

• Reviews and evaluates in-market communication initiatives

• Assumes final accountability for all day-to-day projects

• Develops and manages annual work plans and fees

• Educates clients about Agency capabilities and acts as Agency Ambassador

• Develops, trains and mentors ASs and AEs, identifying and supporting career

paths

• Acts as a respected and inspirational mentor across the integrated team,

managing workloads while providing opportunity for learning and development, and

creative a fertile creative environment where great ideas can grow

• Is a trusted, respected partner to clients

• Volunteers for and supports New Business efforts

Must Have:

• BA degree

• 8+ years agency, communications or marketing experience or translatable field

• Experience managing 2+ direct reports

• Proven communicator and presenter

• Expertise in developing and implementing cross-channel advertising a plus

• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment

• A good sense of humor and maturity

• Interests outside of advertising
