Coup d'envoi / J. Walter Thompson Brussels
In February 2016, French telecommunication brand SFR was launched in Belgium.
The challenge was to raise Belgian consumer awareness for SFR and gain credibility as a viable competitor to telecommunications companies already settled in the Belgian market. The aim was to get SFR the same reputation as they have in France, a reliable and powerful player in the telecommunication market.
J. Walter Tompson Brussels decided to articulate their communication around the power and the speed of SFR, linked to the power and the speed of its ambassador, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
The campaign was broadcast on billboards in Brussels and in the region of Hainaut,some of them de-formated, and on the radio.
The wall of the Rogier metro station in Brussels was fully branded SFR as well as a tram..
