Royal Automobile Club of WA - Roadside Assistance
What are the chances? / J. Walter Thompson Perth
J. Walter Thompson client RAC Roadside Assistance is WA’s largest roadside assistance provider with nearly 500,000 members.
In an effort to remind drivers that breakdowns can happen anywhere at any time, even under the most unlikely circumstances, J. Walter Thompson Perth, in collaboration with J. Walter Thompson Sydney, developed a TVC-based campaign. It aimed to reinforce that RAC Roadside Assist is always on hand to help.
Comprising two 30-second TVCs running on free to air and pay TV, the tongue-in-cheek campaign presents two supposedly unlikely scenarios. The first is that you are dressed up as a nun, ready for a big night out with your hen mates, when you break down opposite a van full of real nuns. What are the chances? Pretty high actually…
The second spot shows a sickie-taking surfer who breaks down opposite his boss.
