JWT Earns Best-Ever Effie Effectiveness Index Ranking

Now in its sixth year, the Global Effie Effectiveness Index identifies and ranks the most effective agencies, marketers, brands, networks, and holding companies by analyzing finalist and winner data from more than forty national and regional Effie competitions.

The 2017 rankings reflect a compilation of over 3,600 worldwide Effie winners and finalists announced between January 1st, 2016 and December 31st, 2016.

For the ranking of the Most Effective Agency Networks, our network moved up an impressive four spots, from number nine in 2016 to number five in 2017. The boost in our ranking was helped by our combined Effie wins across the national and regional Effie competitions that have taken place across MENA, Europe, LATAM, South Asia, and APAC between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

In that period, we earned a total of 194 wins and finalists at Effie festivals including one Grand/Platinum award, nineteen Gold awards, and twenty-five Silver awards.

The Grand/Platinum award, the highest honor at the Effies, was earned by JWT Beirut’s “The Good Note,” an effort that put a local supermarket chain at the forefront of social change.
