JWT MENA wins numerous awards and ‘Network of the Year’ at 2013 Cristal Awards

JWT MENA had an especially strong performance at this year’s Cristal Awards. The Cristal Awards honor the best in brand communications across North Africa and the Middle East. This year, JWT MENA swept the event, bringing home a host of awards across seven offices and the coveted title of ‘Advertising Network of the Year’ .

The seven JWT MENA offices that had their work honored were: JWT Beirut, JWT Cairo, JWT Dubai, JWT Kuwait, JWT Tunis, JWT Riydah and JWT Jeddah. JWT Beirut received 21 awards in total, the most out of the seven offices.

JWT MENA’s impressive list of awards included 1 Grand Cristal, 14 Cristals (Gold), 35 Sapphires (Silver), and 8 Emeralds (Bronze) for 27 individual pieces of work. JWT MENA’s winning work spanned ten categories: digital, media, promo and direct, production, film, outdoor, press, print craft, corporate and public relations, and Arabic Culture.

JWT Cairo (http://www.jwt.com/jwtcairo) took home the Grand Cristal in the production category for their work on Vodafone Egypt’s ‘Let Nothing Stop You.’ The spot features beloved Arabic singer, Mohamed Mounir, who narrates his uplifting story and rise to stardom.

Work for 14 of JWT MENA’s clients, including Kit Kat, Nokia, Vodafone Egypt, and Heineken won awards at the festival. The festival’s most awarded brand, with 11 Cristals, was JWT Beirut’s client touch, a leading telecommunications operator in Lebanon.

Ramsey Naja, chief creative officer of JWT MEA, applauded the winning work and was delighted that the work serving as the backbone of JWT MENA’s operations was producing such outstanding and seemingly effortless stories. He likens the success of JWT MENA’s offices to never falling into routine, instead they seek to make even “bread and butter” creative, something gourmet.
