Yesterday, JWT New York
announced that Ben James has joined the agency as an Executive Creative Director. It’s the first senior appointment for Ryan Kutscher and Matt MacDonald since they took on their co-CCO roles in May. Ben has an interesting background, with experience in both entertainment and advertising, so we wanted to get to know him a little better. Last week I attended the 4A’s Transformation Conference in Los Angeles. We spend so much time in this business competing against each other, and we all share the same pressures. In January, JWT announced that Jeff Benjamin of Crispin, Porter + Bogusky would join the agency as Chief Creative Officer, North America, along with Goodby's Mike Geiger, who was appointed Chief Integration Officer, North America. Jeff comes to JWT with a leadership style described as "management through inspiration."
He will lead JWT North America's creative team with a new vision and direction. "Being great starts with believing that you're great. I also think you want to lead through the work," he added. Check out his interview with Adweek here
