Cannes 2013 China Day with Mayan Lo: Is Chinese creativity different?

This year, Cannes Lions partnered with the China Advertising Association to create the first ever "China Day" at the Festival, seeking to deepen the industry's understanding of this vast, emerging market. Cannes highlights, from the new world of Web video to an ‘awesomer’ world

This week Cannes is hosting its 60th annual advertising extravaganza, and we’ll be posting on some of the highlights. In a morning session today at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Yahoo! VP Erin McPherson talked about the shift to video consumption online and on mobile. “Video is critical to Yahoo!’s vision,” said McPherson, head of video at the Web company. “We are committed to sourcing, developing, producing and broadcasting video content.” One Web series Yahoo! is bringing to life this fall is Ghost Ghirls, a comic endeavor backed by actor, producer and musician Jack Black. ...READ MORE

2013 jury presidents announced for Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity

The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity has named the eminent jury presidents who will take the helm of the various competition categories. Included in the esteemed judge list for this year is Sheung Yan Lo (Mayan), the chairman of JWT’s Asia-Pacific Creative Council and a member of the JWT Global Creative Council.
