The WPP Atticus Awards results are out and JWT’s finest have won recognition. WPP’s highly competitive Atticus Awards encourage thought leadership within WPP agencies by awarding original, published writing in communications. This year, JWT APAC and JWT New York/JWT Intelligence received awards and commendation for their outstanding strategic work.
Pete Heskett, Southeast Asia Planning Director, won the Strategy category with his paper “Journey to the West: A Three Point Plan for Repositioning ‘Made in China’ in Western Markets.” The paper examines one of the biggest marketing challenges of the 21st century: dealing with a major repositioning of what ‘Made in China’ means to Western countries.
Shaziya Khan, Executive Planning Director at JWT Mumbai, won a Certificate of Merit in the Consumer Insight category for her entry, “India – a JWT Perspective.”
Lubna Khan, Strategic Planning Director at JWT Delhi, also received a commendation for her work, “Don’t Listen to your Customers – Working with a Task Based Approach to Innovation.” Lubna’s paper argues for new models that help understand customer needs and help guide business strategy and execution.
