Sharpen those pencils, young talent. This year’s Young Lions Competition has kicked off around the world, and it’s the opportunity of the lifetime. Held annually by Cannes Lions, the competition lets teams of young creative from around the world to compete against each other and showcase their creative talent.
Six different Competitions are held during the festival in Cannes: Film, Cyber, Media, Print, Design and Young Marketers. Teams of two entrants from the advertising and communications industry can apply for one of the Young Lions Competitions. Certain competitions are open to specific job titles so be sure to read the overview for each category.
If selected, teams will compete against some of the most talented young ad stars from around the world at the global competition in France. Briefs are given, and it’s a race against the clock to complete and present the deliverables to a panel of Cannes judges. Winning a Young Lions Competition is a hugely rewarding and we can safely say, nothing feels quite like walking across a stage at Cannes to accept a medal in front of the entire industry.
